Supermarkets in Menton: where to shop, cool down and stock your apartment

Supermarkets rarely appear in travel guides, but during a hot summer stay in Menton they can become surprisingly useful. They are not tourist attractions and should not be treated as public cooling shelters, but they are often the easiest place to buy chilled water, fruit, sunscreen and simple food for the apartment.

For apartment guests, a small fridge with cold drinks, fruit, yogurt, cheese, salad and light dinner ingredients can make the whole stay feel easier, especially in July, August and early September.
