These works are shown as original sheets rather than polished destination images. The paper, line and small irregularities are part of the work.

The oldest parts of Menton reward slow looking. These are not route instructions; use the old town, market and seafront guides for practical walking notes.

Not every image names a place. A hand-drawn collection can preserve a mood, a colour relationship or a fragment seen from a bench as honestly as it can preserve a landmark.

The final group moves between civic silhouettes, palms and the water. They are displayed as separate works, even where they may have grown from the same walk or afternoon.
